Wendell Pierce, 54, who played Robert Zane in Suits, revealed he “cherishes” the moment with Meghan, 37, ahead of her big day.
While the pair were on the set of the last episode of the legal drama’s seventh season ready to film Meghan’s on-screen wedding, Mr Pierce offered the actress his unconditional support.
He told the Daily Telegraph: “We had a moment I cherish.
“I was sitting with Meghan in her wedding dress, as we waited for a set-up.
I’m your friend, and no matter where you are or what’s going on – if the fishbowl that you’re in ever starts getting to you – you can call me

“We were alone.
“I said to her, ‘Your life is going to change.’
“‘It’s going to be amazing but I want you to know that I’m your friend, and no matter where you are or what’s going on – if the fishbowl that you’re in ever starts getting to you – you can call me’.”
Mr Pierce, who has played Meghan’s on-screen father for four years, could not attend her real-life wedding on May 19.

Speaking to ET, he confessed he was “unable to attend” but he would “be up in the morning with champagne, strawberries and cream watching” her getting married in Windsor on TV.
The actor had previously revealed he had adopted a “code” to speak about Prince Harry with Meghan when their relationship was still kept as a secret.
Speaking on Harry Connick Jr’s chat show, he said: “We always talked about him in code really.
“You know, ‘How you doing?’, ‘Oh I’m going to London, coming from London’, whatever.”

Mr Pierce also discussed the wave of racism that hit Meghan following the announcement of her engagement to Harry.
He said: “Like gravity, racism is there, it exists.
“You should always be vigilant for it and prepared for it.”
The hate messages the former Suits star received sparked the fury of Prince Harry, who decided to release a public statement.
Speaking through the press secretary of Kensington Palace, the prince demanded the media and the public to put an end to the “wave of abuse and harassment” Meghan had been receiving since their relationship became public in 2016.

His statement added: “Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her.”
Mr Pierce’s revelation came just days after Meghan’s real father, Thomas Markle Senior, begged for a “final chance” to make peace with his daughter and her husband.
According to a friend of Mr Markle, he said: “I want to hold her in my arms one more time and tell her I’ll always love her.”
The relations between Mr Markle and the Royal Family have been difficult since the 74-year-old man staged some pictures to sell them to the media ahead of the May wedding.
Their relations further stirred when he revealed what he claimed were Prince Harry’s views on Donald Trump and Brexit.

Mr Markle’s friend also confessed how Meghan’s father would like to speak to the couple.
They said: “First, he intends to apologise to them both, face to face, for some of the ill-considered things he has said and done.
“Then, more than anything, he wants to hug his daughter and tell her how very proud he is of her and how much he loves her.
“He wanted so much to walk her down the aisle and give her away on her magical big day and he’s always going to be bitterly upset and frustrated that instead he had to stay in bed following heart surgery.”
