The Duchess of Sussex hasn’t missed the chance to watch hit show Hamilton when it first took the American stages by storm, a resurfaced picture shows.

Meghan went on a friend date night with her longtime mate Priyanka Chopra months before entering the Royal Family.

In a snap shared on Meghan’s Instagram account, the former Suits star was seen posing in a busy New York’s street with the Indian actress and philanthropist, holding the Playbill in hand.

It is unclear when exactly the picture was taken, as it was deleted alongside Meghan’s Instagram account in January.

But it is likely to have been snapped between August 6 2015, when the show debuted in Broadway, and November 27 2016, when she announced her engagement with Prince Harry.

The Duchess had abandoned the social media scene several months before deleting all her accounts, including Twitter’s.

Following her move, a source told People: “Ms Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years.

“However as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them.”

According to a strict royal rule, members of the Royal Family are forbidden from using social media accounts.

Meghan will see again Hamilton tonight in London, this time in the company of Prince Harry, Kensington Palace announced.

The couple won’t be on a relaxing date but will attend the show as guests of honour, as the event will raise funds for one of Harry’s longtime charity, Sentebale.

The organisation, set up with a close friend of Harry, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, supports the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.

Meghan and Harry, together with the show creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, are expected to address the audience from the stage during the night.

But the Duchess had already enjoyed the show with her then-fiance earlier this year.

The pair went on a date night in February to watch the musical, which is based on the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton.

Their appearance among the crowd took both cast and theatre’s patrons by surprise.

This was the first time they had been known to hit the West End since they announced their engagement.

Cast member Leslie Garcia Bowman confirmed that the couple was at the Victoria Palace Theatre with an excited tweet.

He wrote: “Was an honour to have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in to watch @HamiltonWestEnd last night!”

A show spokeswoman also confirmed Meghan and Harry’s date was a “private visit”.
