Footage of Meghan pitching in at the Hubb Community Kitchen in west London was shared by Kensington Palace earlier today, but royal fans may have missed this heartwarming moment between the Duchess and a young girl.

Meghan has been making secret visits to the charity group, based near the site of the Grenfell Tower, in support of a community cookbook helping families from the Kensington tower block in the wake of the fire.

She was filmed talking to local residents, flipping what appeared to be pancakes and serving a rice dish in the kitchen.

But the busy Duchess also took a moment to entertain a little girl.

The little girl, who had her hair up in platts and was wearing a cheetah print dress, was playing with some coloured bricks which she had placed on the tips of her fingers.

Meghan wiggled her own fingers at the little girl while she raised her eyebrows and gave a big grin.

An onlooker watched in amusement, but the young girl’s eyes were shining with delight at she enjoyed her moment with the Duchess.

She looked on, transfixed as Meghan playfully extended her fingers, one of which was adorned with her Welsh gold wedding band and diamond engagement ring.

Meghan had spent the day getting her hands dirty, helping to make food in the community kitchen at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre.

Today it was announced that she is launching a cookbook with the women who run the kitchen in her first solo project as a member of the Royal Family.

This was not the first time that Meghan had enchanted her young fans while out on royal duties.

On day two of a royal visit to Ireland in July, a young boy fell in love with Meghan’s glossy hair and reached out to stroke it.

Three-year-old Walter Cullen’s stunt caught the eye of Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry, 34.

He showed his own playful side by teasingly wagging his finger in telling off of young Walter.

Meghan’s cookbook, published by Penguin Random House companies, ‘Together: Our Community Cookbook’, showcases over 50 recipes from women in the community and will be available in stores this week.

All proceeds will go back to the Hubb to support a community damaged by the Grenfell Tower.
