Garner, 46, had Royal fans and followers doing a double take when she chose to wear the same dress as the Duchess of Sussex during the ceremony where she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Roland Mouret’s Barwick Dress was the outfit Meghan was last spotted in before getting married to Prince Harry.

While making her way to the Cliveden House Hotel with her mother Doria Ragland the night before her Royal wedding, Meghan donned the off-the-shoulder navy dress as she told reporters she was feeling “wonderful”.

Garner, who was officially recognised as an enduring film star by Hollywood on Monday, was clearly influenced by Meghan’s classy get-up.

The actress has previously shared her admiration for the 37-year-old Duchess.

She celebrated Meghan’s marriage to Prince Harry in May with a throwback photo from her hit 2004 movie 13 Going on 30.

In the photo, posted on Instagram, Garner is dressed in a white wedding gown alongside her co-star Mark Ruffalo while hanging from wires in a behind-the-scenes shot of the romantic comedy’s set.

She wrote: “Harry and Meghan if you’re looking for stand-ins, Mark Ruffalo and I are just hanging around.”

She also sent her congratulations to the newlyweds.

The Duchess of Sussex has been out of the limelight in recent weeks enjoying her summer break.

Meghan is set to fly out to California to see her mother Doria, where she will be just 150 miles away from her father, Thomas.

Mr Markle nor Meghan have shown any indication they intend to meet during her stateside trip, in a sign their ongoing feud is no closer to a resolution.

Over the weekend, Mr Markle compared the Royal Family to a cult.

The outspoken American said: “They are either like Scientologists or the Stepford family.

“If they hear anybody say anything they just lock the doors. They need to speak up!”

It was announced on Monday that Meghan and Harry would appear for a London performance of the hit musical Hamilton on August 29 to raise funds for one of Prince Harry’s long-time charities, Sentebale, which he set up alongside friend Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Fans of the Duchess will be eager to see what outfit she chooses to sport this time around.
