The 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex has aptly called her new black labrador Oz.
The newest addition to the Kensington Palace household is said to be settling in well with Meghan’s other dog, Guy.
It is hoped Oz will make as much of an impression as Guy, who a day before the American’s plush royal wedding to Prince Harry in Windsor was seen riding in a car with the Queen.
Like the monarch, Meghan is a huge dog-lover.
Sadly though, the former Suits actress’s other dog Bogart was left behind when she moved to the UK to be 33-year-old Prince Harry’s wife.
After her engagement to the prince was announced, Meghan said the animal would stay with her friends in her native Toronto, Canada, due to his old age.
As for newbie Oz, he is said to be adapting to royal life nicely, like Meghan.
A source told the Daily Mail: “The dog is already happily ensconced at their cottage.
“Like the Sussexes, the dog will divide its time between the palace and their country home in the Cotswolds.”
The happy couple, who have celebrated three months of marriage following their May 19 nuptials, have a four-bedroom cottage in the Cotswolds that they are leasing long-term.
They spend long periods of time at the bolthole and travel to and from there by helicopter to avoid disrupting traffic, according to Hello!
Reports on the cottage revealed it “is very private, has a vast open-plan kitchen and dining area for Meghan to cook in and lots of large windows for the stunning views”.
Australia is one of the Commonwealth of Nations, an intergovernmental cluster of 53 member states mostly made of former territories of theBritish Empire.
The Queen is the head of the Commonwealth and it recognised as a monarch by Australia, which is one of the realms of the Commonwealth.
Other realms that recognise the Queen as their monarch are Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, the Solomon Islands and Saint Lucia.
