Meghan Markle, 36, arrived at Westminster Abbey with husband Prince Harry, 33, and his bother Prince William, 36 at mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force.

The couple was caught by the BBC cameras sharing a tender glance as the Duchess of Sussex looked at the ceremony programme and shared a laugh with her husband.

The Royals will witness a formation of 100 aeroplanes, one for each year of the RAF, flying over their iconic balcony at 1pm.

The show marks the largest concentration of military aircraft seen over the capital in recent memory and was planned minute by minute by Wing Commander Kevin Gatland.

It will last for nine and a half minutes and will require all the pilots’ coordination and steady nerves as, despite using different aircraft flying at different speed, they will all have to fly over the palace with a space of 30 seconds between each other.

The Duchess of Sussex wore a navy dress which featured a bateau neckline and a full A-line skirt.

She completed the outfit with a navy fascinator and nude pointed-toe stilettoes.

Her hair was tied back into a tight chignon and a matching black clutch bag finished off the look.

Both Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge wore their No 1 RAF uniform.

Prince William’s featured RAF wings in recognition of being a qualified RAF pilot, while Prince Harry’s featured RAF Regiment shoulder flashes, in recognition of RAF Honington – the home of the RAF Regiment.

Harry’s shoulder flashes also recognise his role as Honorary Air Commandant of the base.

The Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were also present at the event.
