Letters Royal, a fanbase for the Royal family, shared a candid snap of the letter they received on the social media platform, which features a black and white picture of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex laughing and smiling together after the much-anticipated royal wedding.

The image was taken by official wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski and compliments the sweet note that thanks those who congratulated husband and wife on their nuptials which took place in Windsor.

Inside a white envelope marked from Kensington Palace and penned on the back of the photo, the message reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly kind cards and letters they have received on the occasion of their Wedding, and are so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did.

“It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send you their very best wishes.”

Though the note is not hand-written, it does feature a beautiful italic font.

As for the photo, Meghan avoiding eye-contact with the camera and her being sat between Harry’s legs demonstrates the start of their unconventional marriage and draws stark comparison between the more traditional portraits of the same kind.

Mr Lubomirski said the image had come about naturally when he took it.

He said: “It was just one of those magical moments, when you’re a photographer and everything falls into place.

“The sun is setting right just over the top of Windsor Castle just behind them, it was just the most serene, beautiful light, they’re in love, walking around this beautiful garden.

“I said just before you go in, let’s sit down on these stairs, and she just slumped in between his legs.”

He added: “They were just laughing because they were joking about how they were exhausted and finally it was over.”

The letter is the second sent out by the newlyweds, who also sent a note to those who thanked them on their engagement, which took place last November.

The engagement letter, also shared on social media, read: “It really was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated. His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle send you their warmest thanks and very best wishes.”
