Meghan topped off her look with an olive green Stephen Jones hat and matching pointed heels while Prince Harry looked dashing in a dark suit.
The royal couple looked prim and proper, dressed for the occassion as they walked towards The Chapel Royal, to attend their nephew’s baptism.
Meghan and Harry have not been appointed as Prince Louis godparents, despite public speculations that the couple would be chosen by the Duke and Duchess oF Cambridge.
Prince Louis, who is fifth in line to the royal throne, will be christened at The Chapel Royal of St James Palace, in a small and intimate family affair.
The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip will not be attending the christening, according to Kensington Palace.
The 92-year-old’s absence from her grandson’s baptism is not due to health issues, a royal source added, after speculations rose following the Queen’s absence from a special service last month, after she said she was feeling “under the weather”.
Prince Charles and his wife, Camillia, will be present amongst guests, along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Kate’s parents are also set to show up to the royal event, as well as her brother and sister, along with Louis’ six godparenets – who are known to be close friends of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, who will be presiding the service today said today on Twitter: “I’m delighted and privileged to be christening Prince Louis today – a precious child made in God’s image, just as we all are.
“Please join me in praying for him and his family on this special day.”
Louis will be wearing a silk and lace christening gown made in 2008, a handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe.
The original Royal Christening Robe was worn for al royal christenings since 1841, when Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter was baptised.
Prince Louis will be christened by the water from River Jordan, which was flown in especially for the event.
Built in 1536, St James Palace has a vast amount of history, having housed several royals throughout centuries since the reign of King Henry VIII.
Queen Victoria married Prince Albert on the very steps of the palace in 1840, while Queen Elizabeth I is also known to have resided at the palace on several occasions.
The palace also bears a profound significance to Prince William, as his late mother, Princess Diana’s coffin was placed at the palace’s altar before her funeral at Westminster Abbey in 1997.
The service is expected to last for about 40 minutes.
Louis’ brother, Prince George was baptised at the very same church at St James Palace, the Chapel Royal in 2003 while Princess Charlotte was christened at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in 2015, the same church as Princess Diana.
