Kensington Palace has confirmed new mother Kate will tag along with the American to see her bosom buddy Serena Williams’s clash with Angelique Kerber of the final this weekend.
In a statement, the Palace said: “The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), and the Duchess of Sussex, will attend the Ladies’ Singles Final at The Championships, Wimbledon, on Saturday 14th July.
“Prior to the start of the day, Their Royal Highnesses will meet a number of former Wimbledon Ladies Champions, as well as some of The Championships’ ball boys and ball girls, to hear more about their experiences of the tournament.”
The event is one of a handful of instances Kate, who gave birth to Prince Louis just 12 weeks ago, will break her maternity leave agreement.
The mother-of-three will also be attending the men’s singles the day after with husband Prince William.
Royal fans flooded social media when Kensington Palace broke the news moments ago.
One commenter said: “Yeah! Can’t wait to see these two beautiful, great ladies together!”
Another said: “YES! Duchess day out!”
