The royal wives dazzle in beautiful gowns and dresses at engagements, waving at fans as the paparazzi snap pictures of pair.
Meghan and Kate are known to wear almost every colour of the rainbow, earning them points in the fashion department.
However, the Duchesses have never been spotted any shade of orange.
There is no royal fashion rule preventing the royals from sporting the vibrant hue, but it is believed orange does not photograph as well as other colours.
Even before she became a royal, Meghan was never seen wearing orange – though she has been spotted wearing bright yellow, olive green and even purple.
In her most recent appearance, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted wearing a navy blue shirt and gorgeous colour block skirt, with a matching navy blue hat.
In July, Meghan went bold with a bright yellow dress, as she and her husband, Prince Harry, arrived at the Marlborough House for the ‘Your Commonwealth’ Youth Challenge reception.
Kate also spotted wearing a vibrant yellow frock with ruffled sleeves during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in July.
The royals are known to keep their outfits classy and stylish, and often opt for subtler hues outside the summer season.
Last week, Kate was pictured leaving Crathie Kirk at Balmoral wearing a fitted grey coat with a matching hat and pearl drop earrings.
Kate, William and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – are now spending their summer at Balmoral Castle with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family.
Even though Meghan and Harry were not spotted leaving the church service, it is confirmed they arrived at Balmoral last weekend.
George, Charlotte and Louis were also nowhere to be seen – but it is likely they were at the estate with their nanny, with George watching his very first grouse shooting on Sunday.
Other members of the Royal Family spending their summer at Balmoral include Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, the Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor.
