The young prince was christened today at the Chapel Royal in St James’ Palace in a service at 4pm .

Louis, the fifth-in-line to the throne, was presented before the eyes of God by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Sir Justin Welby.

In a ceremony lasted around 45 minutes and was attended by the Duke and Duchess’ close friends and family, including Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.

Kate Middleton’s extended family, including her sister Pippa Middleton, were present at the private service.

Prince Louis’ six godparents, including Nicholas van Cutsem, Guy Pelly, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade, Robert Carter and Lucy Middleton, were seen arriving at the chapel shortly before a beaming Kate arrived with the baby Prince asleep in her arms.

Shortly after the service, the Cambridge family departed the chapel and made their way to Clarence House for a private post-ceremony reception.

It was the first time that the family have been seen together as a full family.

The Cambridge’s were last seen together n in public during Prince William’s polo match in June.

But it was the first time the Cambridge family was seen with their new addition, baby Prince Louis.

They were joined by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they departed the chapel for the tea party.

William looked dashing in a navy-blue suit, while a still beaming Kate looked content as she was joined by her three children; Princess Charlotte on the left and Prince George, five, on her right.

Little Prince Louis was still looking peaceful and content as mum Kate cradled the child in her arms.
