The Duchess of Cambridge wore a grey coat and black hat, finishing her look with a pair of pearl drop earrings.
Her simplistic and elegant outfit evoked memories of Princess Diana who also wore a grey coat while at Balmoral in 1981.
Princess Diana was on her honeymoon with Prince Charles when she was photographed holding the Duke of Cornwall’s hand and walking along the River Dee.
Kate, like Diana, looked happy as she was accompanied by the Duke of Cambridge and the Queen in Her Majesty’s Bentley.
She smiled and appeared to be chatting to Prince William.
The trio were spotted leaving the church service at Crathie Kirk, near Balmoral Castle as the Royal Family’s Scottish summer getaway continues.
This is one of Kate’s rare public appearance during her maternity leave, following the birth of Prince Louis on April 23.
The Duchess of Cambridge has made few public appearances while on maternity leave. She was spotted at the Royal Wedding, the Trooping of the Colour.
She was also spotted at Prince Louis’ christening, which is the first time the family of five were seen stepping out together.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had been staying at their country house Anmer Hall in Norfolk with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The pair arrived in Scotland last week to visit the Queen during her summer holidays.
She moved to the estate earlier this month, and regularly attends services at Crathie Kirk.
Crathie Kirk is located near Balmoral castle in Aberdeenshire, where the Queen currently resides during her annual summer holiday.
Her Majesty wore a bright blue coat over a blue and organ patterned frock and matching blue hat.
Prince Charles was also seen leaving the service in a separate car as she was waved to crowds of royal fans.
Princess Anne, Prince Edward, the Countess of Wessex and Lady Louise Windsor were also seen leaving the service, and drove off in separate cars with their family.
Prince Edward took the driver’s seat as he drove off with his wife, Sophie Wessex and daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, 14. However their son, Viscount Severn, 10, did not join his family for the church service.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not seen leaving the service as speculations continue to brew on when the royal couple will visit the Scottish estate this summer.
