Kensington Palace confirmed the Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground next Tuesday.

The Sayers Croft Trust is an outdoor leaning centre headquartered in the village of Ewhurst, Surrey.

It provides fresh air and recreation for inner city children and offer a refuge for civilian evacuees in the event of a war breaking out.

This will be Kate Middleton’s first royal engagement since she gave birth to her second son and third child Prince Louis at St Mary’s Hospital in London on April 23.

The Duchess has been on maternity leave since then and has largely remained out of the royal limelight, choosing to spend time at home with Louis.

She has only made a handful of public appearances and most recently, took a day off from maternity leave to attend the wedding of her good friend Sophie Carter in Suffolk on Saturday morning.

Sophie Carter, who is a godparent of Charlotte, has been a good friend of Kate’s for a number of years.

The Duchess and her husband Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, took their two eldest children George and Charlotte to the wedding, but Louis did not attend.

Most notably, she attended the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with her husband and then two eldest children at Windsor Castle on May 19.

Kate has also appeared a handful of events, including two days at the Wimbledon tennis championships and Trooping the Colour in June, and the RAF Centenary service in July.

Earlier this month, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “It is traditional for new royal mums to take a six-month break from official engagements.

“The wedding doesn’t count because it was a ‘family affair’ but other than that, she will pick and choose her engagements.

“If she wanted, Kate could disappear into the background until October!”

Over the coming weeks, the Duchess will to step up her public royal involvement and frequency of duties.

She is expected to attend the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12.

Kate will also ramp up her well-renowned charity work by marking World Mental Health Day on October 12.

But she has not joined her husband Prince William on a tour of Africa the week, which began on Monday and was arranged by the UK Government, without Kate.

It is understood the future king and his wife prefer to keep certain tours and projects, that are close to their hearts, individual from joint state tours or visits.

Kate has often been a champion of mental health rights, especially for children.

William has followed in his father Prince Charles’ footsteps as a champion of wildlife and nature.
