Kate is wearing in Ralph Lauren and a hat by Stephen Jones while Louis is wearing a handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe, made by the Queen’s dressmaker, Angela Kelly.

The original robe was made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter, however a replica was made after the current Queen deemed the original was too fragile to continue using.

Prince Louis will be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who also led the baptism service of Meghan Markle in March.

Kate and Prince William welcomed their third child Prince Louis on St George’s day, April 23, at 11.01am at the private Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

Louis weighed 8lb 7oz, however this is not the heaviest royal baby in modern times.

Kate arrived with Prince Louis and her young family to the royal chapel.

Kensington Palace released sweet images of Charlotte cuddling baby Louis to mark her third birthday.

Charlotte was pictured gently kissing the newborn on the top of his head.
