EMMERDALE actress Fiona Wade has revealed she is engaged to former co-star Simon Cotton.
The star – who plays Priya Sharma in the ITV soap – took to Instagram on New Year’s Day to share the happy news with her fans.
Posting a picture of her nuzzling up to her suited and booted fiance while dressed in a beautiful floor length gown, Fiona wrote: “Two days ago this beautiful man asked me to be his wife.
“There has never been an easier answer to a question…. Yes! Feel so incredibly blessed.
” Wishing you all a wonderful 2019 & so much love for the year ahead.”
Her Emmerdale co-stars were quick to congratulate her, with Mark Charnock – who plays Marlon Dingle – writing: “Wonderful news!!! Congratulations lovely Fiona. What a way to go into 2019. Xx”.
Michelle Hardwick – who plays Vanessa Woodfield – added: “So much love for you two.”
The 42-year-old recently got engaged herself, having proposed to girlfriend and Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks last month.
Kate also commented on Fiona’s engagement news, writing: “This is just perfect.”
While Fiona has been in the Emmerdale cast since 2011, Simon briefly played an estate agent who was interested in working with Home Farm.
