Kate is a fashion icon in the Royal Family from her tailored coats and prim and proper dresses at royal engagements to her sleek and elegant gowns at dignitary gatherings.

The Duchess of Cambridge has even received high praise for her casual looks including her Zara dress which she wore while watching Prince William playing polo earlier this year, which quickly sold out.

For this reason Kate often wears understated outfits to weddings of close friends and family, so the focus remains on the bride.

For Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding in May, Kate wore an outfit designed by Alexander McQueen with a similar cut to one she has worn on several other occasions.

But since taking time out to have a child, the question is whether she has a new addition to her wardrobe.

Kate wore the pale Alexander McQueen dress and coat at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.

But while it is likely she will not repeat this outfit, Eugenie has approved the Philip Treacy hat.

The bride-to-be has asked all women to wear hats to her own ceremony.

Kate has also worn French and Italian brands.

During her Canada Royal Tour in 2016 she wore an emerald green Dolce and Gabbana dress.

But since the Duchess of Cambridge married William, she has supported UK high street and up-and-coming brands.

They have reported huge spikes in sales since the Duchess worse dresses by Reiss and L.K. Bennett, for example.

Kate has also worn designs by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen after her own wedding in 2011.

On Saturday, Kate attended her childhood friend Sophie Carter’s wedding to fiancé Robert Suggs at St Andrew’s Church in Letheringsett, Norfolk.

The Duchess made a smart outfit choice, and re-wore a stunning blue Catherine Walker number to match her friend’s blue wedding theme.

Kate previously donned the same blue dress in July last year, during a royal visit to Berlin with her husband Prince William, and children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who dated for seven years, announced their engagement earlier this year.

The pair will marry in St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle – the same venue as Meghan and Harry – on October 12.

Princess Eugenie’s wedding plans have already revealed a special nod to parents the Duke of York and Sarah, the Duchess of York.

The Archbishop of York, a nod to her parents’ titles, will lead the prayers.

After the ceremony, Eugenie and Jack will embark on a “short carriage ride from the Royal Mews, out of Windsor Castle and on to part of the High Street.”

The Royals list places where the Royal Couple will be able to be seen, naming Castle Hill, the High Street and Park Street.
