A less-than-impressed Charlotte appeared to tick off Prince George, five, from the arms of her mother, Kate, as he larked around and playfully pulled faces for the camera.

Frowning, Princes Charlotte, three, looked frustrated and irritated at George’s antics as a pageboy.

Princess Charlotte, dressed in a white smock dress with a ruffled collar and blue edges, was not in her usual confident mood and looked unimpressed as she kept close to her mother.

And while her brother Prince George appeared to revel in the attention of being a pageboy, taking a leading role in games with the other children in the bridal party, Princess Charlotte didn’t share his enthusiasm for her special role as flower girl.

The royal tot instead looked shy and timid as she clutched her posy.

At one point the three-year-old took clung on to her mother, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, who lovingly cradled her in her arms outside St Andrew’s Church in Letheringsett, Norfolk, on Saturday.

Duchess Kate and Sophie were schoolgirls together at Marlborough College and Sophie is also one of Charlotte’s godmothers.

This is not the first time the feisty youngster has proved she is boss – earlier this year she told photographers “You’re not coming” as she arrived at her little brother Prince Louis’ christening in July.

And Charlotte caused a storm last year when she was captured having a major royal strop in Hamburg.

Kate, 37, was forced to step in as Charlotte stamped her feet and threw herself to the floor in a tantrum on the airport tarmac during a royal tour.

Princess Charlotte’s grumpy display over the weekend is a far cry from the moment the tot captured the heart of the nation back in April when she arrived at the Lindo Wing to meet her newborn brother.

Poised beyond her years, the confident toddler charmed members of the public as she excitedly waved to crowds waiting following the birth of her little brother, Prince Louis.

And just before she made her way into the hospital, Princess Charlotte gave one last adorable wave after she totted up the steps of the Lindo Wing.

She also gave a wave at uncle Prince Harry’s royal wedding to Meghan Markle in May, walking up to the steps of St George’s Chapel in Windsor before being told by her mother to turn and wave to the expectant crowd and photographers.
