Princess Eugenie will marry Jack Brooksbank next month, on October 12.

The second royal wedding of 2018 will be a two-day event, with reports that there will be a festival on Saturday, October 13.

The couple has been together for seven years and met on a skiing holiday in Switzerland.

Groom Jack is a British wine merchant, brand ambassador of Casamigos Tequila and socialite.

The nuptials will be the second royal wedding of 2018 after Eugenie’s cousin Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in May earlier this year.

The royal couple will get married in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same venue as Meghan and Harry’s wedding .

Eugenie got engaged while she was on holiday in Nicaragua and Buckingham Palace confirmed the news in January.

The upcoming groom has said in an interview with The One Show that he got down on one knee in Nicaragua, against a backdrop of “a beautiful volcano” where “the sun was setting, birds were flying”.

Princess Eugenie said: “The lake was so beautiful. The lake had a special light I’d never seen.

“I actually said ‘this is an incredible moment’, and then he popped the question.

“I was over the moon, crying.”

Asked about the Queen’s reaction to the news while on, Princess Eugenie said: “Granny actually knew right at the beginning.

“She was one of the very few people right at the beginning.”

Eugenie’s father, the Duke of York, announced the happy news stating he was “delighted” at the engagement.

Approximately 850 guests will attend the wedding, including senior Royals and A-list celebrities.

The long guest list is over the maximum capacity of Windsor Castle which can hold 800 people.

In comparison, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had roughly 600 wedding guests.

Among the high-profile celebrities is Eugenie’s close friends’ supermodel Cara Delevingne and singer Ellie Goulding.

Invitations have also been sent to 1,200 members of the public who were selected by a ballot.

More than 100,000 applications were received, and the invitations to those that were selected to join them on the day were sent out on September 12.

The Queen’s granddaughter also announced in August that she has chosen her sister, Princess Beatrice, as her maid of honour.
