Meghan Markle was standing alongside her mother Doria Ragland, posing for a photograph, when the windy weather picked up her hair.
Prince Harry, who was standing behind his wife, quickly jumped into action and flattened down her hair.
Meghan turned around with a huge smile on her face after the affectionate moment with her husband.
After posting the video on Twitter, ITV’s Chris Ship tweeted: “When you just have to flatten down the wife’s hair on a windy day.”
Online commentators were proud of Prince Harry’s display of affection, with some branding the royal couple as “adorable”.
One said: “There is nothing like a husband attending to his wife, this is beautiful.”
Another added: “Such a cute couple! Love them both!”
A third said: “Thanks for making sure your wife is alright, a true gentleman indeed.”
Meghan’s mother, Ms Ragland joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the launch of a Grenfell community cookbook.
The Duchess of Sussex has supported the launch of the cookbook, even helping to prepare lunch for the guests.
Meghan gave her first public speech as a duchess, telling guests before they sat down to a lunch featuring dishes from the book: “Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labour of love.”
The Duchess added: “I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen – your warmth, your kindness, and also to be able to be in this city and to see in this one small room how multicultural it was.”
The Duchess’ mum, Doria, was spotted at Los Angeles International airport earlier this week which sparking speculation she was flying to see her daughter.
Doria also introduced herself to guests at the event. ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship was at the event and said the Doria introduced herself by saying: “I’m Meg’s mum.”
She also told guests she was “head over heels” with pride.
Meghan’s mother is reportedly moving to the capital to be closer to her daughter.
