Entitled Together: Our Community Cookbook, it is not even not published until Tuesday, but is already in high demand, with fans rushing to pre-order copies on Amazon.
And in a foreward penned by the Duchess of Sussex, the US citizen gives a strong indication of the influence this country is having on here.
She writes “organisations” rather than using the US spelling of “organisations”, as well as adding the letter U to the word “favourite”.
The idea was first suggested by the Royal Princess after she met women at the Hubb Community Kitchen in the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, near the scene of last year’s tragic tower block blazon which 72 people died.
The Hubb was created to cook for the people who lives were devastated by the fire.
She has visited the centre on more than one occasion, and is known to have been moved by the plight of those affected.
Together features 50 recipes supplied by the women who run the Hubb.
In the three-page foreward, she says: “In January 2018, as I was settling in to my new home of London, it was important to me to get to know organisations working in the local community.
“I made a quiet trip to Al-Manaar, a mosque close to the Grenfell community.
“In 2017, I had watched the Grenfell Tower tragedy unfold on the news.
“I was in Canada at the time, sharing the global sentiment of shock and sympathy for what this community was enduring, while also deeply wanting to help.
“Fast-forward seven months, and I was set to meet some of the women affected by the fire, at a community kitchen in Al-Manaar.
“I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen; it is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together.
“Melding cultural identities under a shared roof, it creates a space to feel a sense of normalcy – in its simplest form, the universal need to connect, nurture and commune through food, through crisis or joy – something we can all relate to.”
To mark the launch of the book, Meghan has also released a video of her cooking alongside women from Hubb, during which she explains her motivation for getting involved.
After she found out they were only open two days a week as a result of a shortage of cash, she resolved to create the cookbook to raise money – which it seems highly probable will prove to be a highly successful endeavour.
As well as learning to speak the Queen’s English, she is also in the process of becoming a UK citizen – although may also choose to retain her US passport as well.
James Brookes, director of broadcasting and communications at the RoyalCentral website told Express.co.uk last month: “As it stands, and as far as we’re aware, Meghan’s still a US citizen although she’s going through the process of becoming a UK citizen.
“As such, if she chooses to keep her US credentials and she and Harry have children, the children will be eligible for US citizenship too.
“I can’t see why this would be a problem – yes, it’s not something we’ve seen from the royals before but, depending on whether their children go on to have royal roles or forge their own career paths, it could actually be beneficial for them if they want to move in the future.”
