The Duchess of Sussex appeared with the gorgeous Givenchy gown for a trailer for a new ITV documentary about the Queen.

The trailer for the documentary, Queen of the World, depicts the newlywed Duchess playing with the delicate fabric of her dress the day before her wedding day.

Touching her veil, Meghan said: “53 countries, oh my goodness.”

Her remark was in reference to the fact her veil was deftly embroidered with 53 flowers – one for each of the Commonwealth nations.

On close inspection, it appears the Duchess is wearing the blue Roland Mouret dress she wore on the eve of her marriage – the same garment she inspired Jennifer Garner to wear when the actress accepted her star on the Hollywood walk of fame last month.

Meghan was spotted in the distinctive, off-the-shoulder dress when she arrived at Cliveden House with her mother, Doria Ragland, the night before she became Prince Harry’s wife.

Meghan’s husband, the Duke of Sussex, chipped in during the trailer with insightful comments about his grandmother.

Revealing the intimate realities of having a Queen for a grandmother, he said: “If you suddenly bump into her in the corridor, don’t panic, and then you will, we all do.”

The Prince also quipped: “You guys have spent way more time in Buckingham Palace than I ever have and you’ve only been here two weeks!”

The Duchesses of Cambridge’s scenes in the documentary will focus on an engagement at Buckingham Palace with the Countess of Wessex.

The two Royal ladies welcomed designers and artisans from the Commonwealth to feature their work at the palace during London Fashion Week.

Another scene reportedly shows the Queen recording her Christmas speech.

In the extraordinary two-part series the Duchess of Sussex aims to highlight the importance of the Commonwealth, which the Queen heads.

A palace source told PEOPLE that Meghan takes part in “a conversation, a stand-up chat” for the TV documentary.

Queen of the World airs on Tuesday, September 25 at 9.15pm on ITV.
