Meghan Markle’s mother has been linked with Princess Diana after she managed to avoid attention with a royal visit.
It has been reported that Daria Ragland made a trip over the summer to the UK.
Speaking on Australia’s Sunrise on Channel 7, Robert Jobson, a royal expert explained how Ms Ragland evaded attention.
He said: “Doria, although she has been at that royal wedding, if she puts a baseball cap on you can get on a plane and no one would necessarily recognise her.
“She has had a starring role in the big Royal Wedding, it doesn’t mean that everyone in the world is going to see her.
“The point of it is, there is also liaison with SO14 the royal protection squad.
“If Meghan had gone out to pick her up then she would have two or three police officers with her, supporting her, that would also make sure the whole system works.
“So there are systems in place.”
He added: “Princess Diana used to go off with Provence with her bodyguard Ken Wharfe and nobody even knew they had gone away. So it does happen.”
The visit from Ms Ragland is thought to have taken place in July.
The visit is also believed to have taken a place after the controversy which followed media interviews from Thomas Markle.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: “The visit was totally under the radar.
“Doria supported Meghan throughout a lot of the ordeal with Thomas.”
Mr Markle conducted a series of interviews since the Royal Wedding.
The Duchess of Sussex’s father also caused uproar after he was accused of staging photographs in the lead up to the Wedding.
