The Kensington and Chelsea Borough store, located near to the home of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had £300 worth of designer goods stolen.
The branch is dubbed Britain’s poshest charity shop and is believed to have welcomed donations from members of the Royal Family over the years.
There was no indication anything the royals had given the store had been stolen.
The thief obtained keys to the premises from a coffee shop next door on August 7, which kept a spare set.
He told them he was a volunteer working at the shop who had come to collect the keys.
Oblivious, coffee shop staff handed them over, giving him access to the Gloucester Road store that has items by designers Gucci and Jimmy Choo to name a few.
He reportedly let himself in an hour before the charity shop opened at 10am before loading stolen goods into a van parked up outside.
A source told the Sun: “There is so much money round here that people would take in Gucci clothes.
“Royals like Princess Michael of Kent and the Duchess of Gloucester have even apparently donated items.
“Everyone locally knows they leave the key nearby as they have so many volunteers in on different days.”
The source added: “But this is a scandalous way for Oxfam to treat their security.”
The store is a ten minute walk south from Kensington Palace, the home of both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as their children George, Charlotte and baby Louis.
Oxfam said in a statement: “A small number of items were stolen from the Gloucester Road shop in a burglary last month.
“These donations could have helped raise money for Oxfam’s life-changing work fighting poverty around the world. We are working with the police in their investigation.”
The London Metropolitan Police confirmed no arrests have been made and have asked for anyone with information to contact police on 101.
