The 23-year-old royal is known to enjoy the simple things in life, taking a step back from high-society events as she enjoys days out with her friends, snapping pictures for her 74, 000 followers on Instagram.
Amelia, who is 38th in line to the throne, is the granddaughter of the Duke of Kent and a fashion model, though she is not officially a “working royal” and does not have royal duties to fulfil.
Compared to more senior members of the royal family, who enjoy fine dining at Buckingham Palace and having staff at their beck and call, Amelia often strays from the boundaries of royal tradition.
Just last week, the model posted a picture of herself at Peckham bar Frank’s cafe, an urban ‘carpark turned bar’ hotspot located on the 10th storey of a multi-level car park.
In contrast to her royal counterparts, Amelia celebrated her 23rd birthday in a park eating a miniature cake, posting the video to her social media account for her fans to see.
The model reportedly skipped the Queen’s official festive dinner last year for a holiday at the French Alps, even though her grandfather, the Duke of Kent, was present.
This month, Amelia broke royal protocol after she was pictured sunbathing topless in Ibiza, as she strolled its sandy beaches.
Her fans took to Twitter to support the model’s decision, with one stating that “protocol’s need to move with the times”.
One social media user tweeted: “Protocol’s need to move with the times. Topless is now the norm on lots of foreign beaches.
“If we kept to the same protocols forever then royals would still be all wearing ankle length dresses, no trousers, no jeans and not marrying divorcees.”
Amelia has a tatoo along her ribcage, as well as other tattoos on her wrists and shoulder.
The model was born on 24 August 1995, and is signed to Storm Model Management.
In 2016, she was the over girl for Tatler’s magazine and just a year later, who dubbed her as “the most beautiful member of the royal family.
In 2017, Amelia made her debut at Milan Fashion Week walking the runway for Dolce & Gabbana.
She also walked for Dolce & Gabbana’s 2019 Spring collection, and was previously featured on the cover of Vogue Japan for their August 2017 edition.
The model has also worked with Chanel, Azzedine Alaia, and interned at BVLGARI.
Amelia attended her cousin, Prince William’s wedding to Kate in 2011 but was not invited to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding earlier in May this year.
