Meghan stunned crowds as she made her way into foyer of the Victoria Palace Theatre in London, as she and Harry beamed at guests before taking their seats to watch the special charity performance.

The Duchess of Sussex’s £327 dress, designed by Canadian label Judith and Charles, looked very similar to Princess Diana’s tuxedo dress back in 1991.

The Princess of Wales had a love for tuxedos, and wore a special off-the-shoulder sequin ensemble with white cuffs, finished off with a black bow.

She wore the outfit to a performance of The Marriage of Figaro by the English National Opera in 1991.

In 1997, Paris Match magazine bought the dress for £30, 000 which was then given away as a competition prize.

Meghan’s dress took a more sleek and modern twist, featuring a simple black collar as she finished off the look with a pair of black pumps and a golden clutch bag.

Meanwhile, Harry looked dashing in a black suit and tie as the royal couple chatted to Hamilton’s award-winning creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife, Vanessa Nadal, before the group took their seats in the theatre’s Royal Circle.

The hit musical, Hamilton, tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

The play even pokes fun at Harry’s ancestor – King George III – who appears quite comical and eccentric.

Proceeds from the play will go to one of Harry’s longtime charities, Senteble, which was set up by him and his friend, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.

Before the show started, Prince Harry told Miranda: said: “Guys congratulations in bringing it over here… Thank you for doing this for Sentebale. It means so much to us and it’s going to be a fun night.”

Meghan, who watched the show in the US, asked Miranda: “Have you seen it yet in London? Because I found it so amazing to watch how that plays versus here [UK] and the response is so different but everyone loves it.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already watched the play before, in an unofficial visit in February.

Meghan also reportedly saw the play with Priyanka Chopra, her close friend, before she moved out of the US.

After meeting Meghan and Harry, Miranda told reporters: “The prince’s sixth-great grandfather is a character so that’ll be fun and surreal for all of us.

“You don’t get that every day. You get heads of state, we’ve had some popular folks come see our show but you don’t often get a direct descendent of one of your main characters.

“King George gets a different reaction here to the States. He’s a homegrown hero so it’s fun to see his reception here That’s very exciting and I’m very curious to see their reception.”

Meghan and Harry are expected to take to the stage and make a personal address to the audience.
