The three-year-old, who is third in line to the British throne, has had a busy year.

In January, Charlotte started attending Willcocks Nursery School, in Kensington.

She was also a flower girl at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May.

In April, Charlotte became a big sister to Prince Louis.

Next year, she will mark another huge step in her life.

Charlotte will start primary school in September 2019, as she will be four-years-old.

Although her school has not yet been confirmed, it is likely she will attend the same school as her older brother Prince George.

George will be in Year Two at Thomas’s Battersea once his sister joins.

However, she still has one more year left at nursery and one year left of not wearing a uniform.

Charlotte is known for wearing pretty dresses, which is believed to be down to her mum Kate.

Edel Ramberg, an award winning Irish Milliner, told Express.co.uk: “I don’t think it is a royal tradition. I would say it’s much simpler a reason as to why she’s always in dresses.

“Perhaps it’s an easier less analysed wardrobe choice by her mum.

“If she were to wear trousers and pullovers the looks would be more scrutinised, whereas a dress is timeless and simple.”

Hopefully, Charlotte’s uniform will therefore include dresses rather than trousers, so she can continue her style.
