Daniel Martin, Meghan’s wedding make up artist, said the Duchess broke the mould and inspired the younger generation to feel “accepted” for being different.
He told People Magazine: “Meghan created this new brand of fairytale because everyone who has a similarity to her now feels accepted.”
The former Suits actress married Prince Harry in St George’s Chapel at Windsor on 19 May, in a lavish ceremony that captivated royal fans all over the world.
Meghan and Harry’s riveting wedding combined British traditions with a touch of modern culture, including a lively gospel choir and Bishop Michael Curry, who deliver a passionate sermon that made international headlines.
Crowds gathered in Windsor to honour the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as they made their rounds in horse carriage across castle grounds, greeting jubilant royal fans.
Mr Martin added: “You literally felt the energy and the happiness and the love.
“You could just hear the wave of cheers coming into the church.”
Meghan’s make up artist spoke of the moment he saw her walk into the room to get her make up done, saying that he could not contain his emotions.
“And then she came walking in. It was almost like an eruption, because I was trying so hard to hold my tears in.
“And then she walked in and she had this giant smile on her face. And then I just lost it.”
Daniel Martin, along with other royal experts and friends of the Duke and Duchess are set to feature in The Story of the Royals, a People and ABC TV series airing on August 22 and 23.
In the two-series special, insiders will reveal their favourite moments throughout the royal family’s beginnings, as the documentary celebrates the history of the British monarchy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to embark on their first joint tour of Australia later in October, to attend the fourth Invictus games in Sydney.
The games, started by Prince Harry himself in 2014, are dedicated to raising awareness for wounded military personnel.
Meghan and Harry are also expected to tour New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga as the pair aim to strengthen their relationship with the Commonwealth region, after the Duke became Commonwealth’s youth ambassador in April this year.
The royals will also be enjoying some private time at a multi-million dollar waterfront mansion in Sydney, which houses eight bedrooms and an infinity pool, spanning over 1500 square metres.
The Duke and Duchess are expected to visit Meghan’s close friends and former Suits co-stars Gabriel Macht and his wife Jacinda Barrett.
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull previously welcomed the news of the Royal couple’s visit to Australia, and stated Australians will be excited to greet them.
He said: “The Duke of Sussex has become a champion for war veterans around the world, including in Australia.
“His attendance, alongside the Duchess of Sussex, will be a wonderful highlight for the more than 500 competitors and thousands of spectators.”
