The Duchess of Sussex, 36, and her husband, Prince Harry, 33, were snapped in two of four pictures released by Kensington Palace to mark the christening of Louis on July 9.
Meghan, dressed in an olive green Ralph Lauren dress, looked at ease in a large family shot next to Prince Harry and her royal relatives.
But in the fourth formal image, a seemingly too relaxed Meghan can be seen linked her arm through her husband’s – something normally seen as a no-no.

ToggleDid Meghan and Harry break protocol in Prince Louis christening photo?
No protocol exists saying members of the Royal Family can not be tactile with one another for photographs or while out in public.
Therefore Meghan has probably not breached any actual restriction – the photo was also released by Kensington Palace so unlikely to have been done so if feathers had been truly ruffled.
However, many royal couples rarely touch one another in photos and public displays of affection are believed to be an unwritten royal protocol.
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge show occasional signs of intimacy, Harry and Meghan have captured the public’s imagination over the last year with their frequent touchy-feely displays.
During their royal tours, the couple have looked inseparable and often hold hands or physically place a hand on each other.
American Meghan, a former star of US drama Suits, is known for her affectionate demeanour and may be struggling to adjust to the more reserved style of the royals, an expert told Express.co.uk.
Body language author and expert Judi James said: “If the couple have been told to keep touch rituals to a minimum during visits and public events it’s a shame.
“A couple in the newlywed stage like Meghan and Harry will find it almost painful to not use romantic and affectionate tie-sign touches like hand-holding, hugging or linking arms.”
A royal insider told People Magazine Meghan is finding some Palace dictated rules “frustrating”.
The source told the publication: “She has found certain rules in the royal household difficult to understand.
“Rules like the fact that the Queen prefers women in dresses or skirts rather than trouser suits, and is often asking Harry why things have to be done in a certain way.”
What other royal rules must Meghan follow?
There is a whole host of rules the Duchess of Sussex must follow along with other members of the monarchy.
These include refraining from making political opinions and avoiding shellfish to prevent food poisoning.
Royals must also always walk in the rank of order behind the Queen.
Meghan was recently pulled into an awkward moment after Irish senator claimed the duchess has signalled her approval of the abortion referendum result.
However, the politician later deleted her offending posts from Twitter.
