The Duchess of Sussex revealed her flamboyant signature last week when she signed her first name in a visitors’ book during a royal tour of Ireland with Prince Harry.
And now writing expert Tracey Trussell has said the duchess’ signature reveals there is more to Meghan Markle, 36, than meets the eye.
She said: “Goodness knows what Meghan’s hiding behind the carefully constructed mask.
“This is the stylised handwriting of a woman who is good at creating a facade and to whom appearance matters very much indeed.”
Graphologists claim signatures are the key behind explaining people’s personalities.
And Ms Trussell said Meghan’s scribble shows the LA-born duchess has a “lack of confidence”.
She said: “She’ll not leave anything to chance – she has very high standards and the motivation for this is social approval.
“Meghan can be a little apprehensive in the face of anything new, however, and the small round letters in the middle of her signature indicate a surprising lack of confidence.”
Ms Trussell also analysed the signature of the Duchess of Cambridge, which she said showed her “compassionate side”.
She told the Daily Mail: “As we suspected Kate is delightfully natural and genuine, but she’s also happy to take charge when needed.
“The capital C joined to the next letter shows she’s approachable. Her large, broad letters indicate she’s warm-hearted and the slant to the right means she’s very compassionate.”
But Ms Trussell warned Kate is not a “walkover”.
She added: “Kate has the driving energy to get things done – hence the long t-bar.
“The strong finish means she likes to have the last word – there’s an implicit barrier to people taking liberties with her.”
