The 58-year-old, who was formerly married to Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, revealed yesterday she is a massive football fan and sent a message of support to the England team after their victory against Colombia on Tuesday.
Taking to Twitter, Sarah shared an image of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and congratulated the team for their victory and sent her good luck wishes ahead of the quarter-final on Saturday.
She said: “Huge congratulations to the @england team for their victory last night and particularly to @jpickford1 for saving those penalties.
“We are all behind you and good luck on Saturday #worldcup2018 #sport #football#threelions @harrykane @fifaworldcup.”
And Prince William was another royal football fan who paid their well-wishes to the team following their World Cup win this week.
He shared his well with the world using Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account.
He said: “I couldn’t be prouder of @england – a victory in a penalty shootout!
“You have well and truly earned your place in the final eight of the #worldcup and you should know the whole country is right behind you for Saturday! Come on England! W.”
The Queen is also said to have been a fan of Arsenal for almost 60 years.
The revelation came after she met the Arsenal team and manager, Arsene Wenger, at a reception in Buckingham Palace in February 2007.
England is due to play against Sweden in the quarter-finals at 3pm on Saturday, July 7.
