The former Suits actress will make the most of the British summertime by watching several tennis matches in the sizzling sun for the first time as a royal with her new husband Harry, the Duke of Sussex.

Confirmation of her attendance comes after she attended a handful of times in 2016 – the summer that she started dating Prince Harry.

With her attendances at other summertime events such as Ascot and most recently, last weekend’s quintessentially British polo event at the same location, the 36-year-old Duchess is expected in the Royal Box on Centre Court.

In 2016 Meghan was spotted watching her close friend Serena Williams and was sat just yards from Pippa Middleton – the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister.

The Duchess watched her husband and brother-in-law Prince William at the polo this weekend, where she was escorted by superstar tennis champion Serena William and her husband Alexis Ohanian.

The trio cheered on the Princes, with Meghan and Harry attending the next day to watch rather than play.

Sunday’s trip to the polo was particularly emotional as it took place on what would have been Princess Diana’s57th birthday.

The late mother of Prince Harry and William would have celebrated turning 57 – 21 years after she was killed in a car accident in Paris with Dodi al Farad.

Royal fans are also keen to find out whether Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, will also attend Wimbledon this year.

The 36-year-old is a big fan of the game as well as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Though on maternity leave until autumn, she revealed in BBC documentary, Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon that she had been going to Wimbledon since she was little.

She said: “I have watched Wimbledon, that was very much part of my growing up. It’s such a quintessential part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires youngsters, myself, it inspired me, when I was younger to get involved in the game. It hasn’t changed either, I think that’s what’s so wonderful.”
