Queen Elizabeth II, 92, attended the traditional Order of the Garter procession and service on Monday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

The Queen, who is sovereign of the Garter, was joined by Prince Charles, 69, Princess Anne, 67, and Prince William, 35, who has been a member of the Order since 2008.

Also in attendance at Windsor Castle to watch the annual event were Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, 70 and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 53.

Her Majesty the Queen wore the Order’s traditional robes which have been worn since the 15th century and and include a tudor bonnet with a plume of ostrich feathers.

New appointments to the Order of the Garter were announced earlier this year on on April 23.

This year Dame Mary Fagan and the Viscount Brookeborough become Companions.

They will join the Queen and up to twenty-four members including the Duke of York, 58, and Sir John Major, 75, to be known as Knight Companion and Ladies Companion.
