WABC reporter CeFaan Kim was introducing a package in a live shot Friday night about an attempted rape in the Lower East Side of Manhattan when he was grabbed by a man in a hockey mask.

Accompanied by the cameraman, Kim was standing on Norfolk and Delancey when a man in Jason Vorhees-inspired hockey mask suddenly appeared behind him.

Before the reporter could react, the unidentified man wrapped his left arm around the Kim and pointed to the screen.

“Put the camera on me!” he yelled, before barking, “What’s up! What’s up!” repeatedly at Kim.

Producers quickly cut away to B-roll footage, but a video Kim posted to his Twitter account shows the brute shoving him on the street. As he and the stranger struggled, the masked man pushed and shoved the reporter, knocking him to the ground.

Luckily, Kim managed to get away with a “scrape and a bruise.”

The victim has filed a report with the New York Police Department, who he said were taking it “very seriously.”

The altercation was caught on camera and the ABC reporter shared it on social media accounts, asking for help identifying his attacker.

“Guy totally snuck up on me. He wouldn’t get off me so I shoved him off and then he pushed me to the ground,” Kim wrote on his Facebook page. “Thank you to my crew and the random stranger who kept us separated and calmed me down in the heat of the moment … because I’m not gonna lie … when someone puts their hands on you, it’s hard not to get amped up.”
