Streatham stabbing: The 20-year-old man shot dead by police

A man shot dead by UK police after stabbing two people has been identified as Sudesh Amman.

Armed officers killed the terrorist on Streatham High Road on Sunday afternoon (February 2).

He has been named as teenage Isis-fanatic Sudesh Amman.

It has been revealed that he had only been released from prison in January.

The 19-year-old from Harrow, in North West London, was released roughly a week ago after serving time for terror offences.

He was under active police surveillance at the time of the attack, which police believe to be an Islamist-related terrorist incident.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “The circumstances are being assessed, the incident has been declared as terrorist-related.”

Pictures and video shared on social media showed a number of officers restraining someone outside the Cash Converters store.

There were a number of armoured police cars and an ambulance at the scene and a helicopter overhead after the attack.

Drivers were turned away from the scene while all bus routes through the area were diverted.
