A fisherman has reeled in a bizarre “dinosaur-like” fish with gigantic eyes from the dark depths of the Norwegian Sea.
According to Fox News, Oscar is a fishing guide for Nordic Sea Angling and was off the coast in Norway when the catch was made.
“We were looking for blue halibut which is a rare species about 5 miles offshore. I had four hooks on one line and felt something quite big on the end of it. It took me about 30 minutes to reel it in because it was over 2,600 feet deep,” he told the publication.
It is said that the creature is a relative of the shark, but is allegedly a ratfish. Either way, this looks like nothing like the ordinary fish out in the waters.
