Turpin 'House of Horrors' 911 Call: 'We Live in Filth' (Report)

A just-released 911 call captures a teen’s frantic plea for help after she escaped what’s since been dubbed a “house of horrors.”

In January 2018, Jordan Turpin, 17, bravely ran away from her Southern California home, where she and her many brothers and sisters were being held captive, some in shackles. She then called police for help.

“OK. I live in a family of 15 people and my parents are abusive. They abuse us and my two little sisters right now are chained up,” Jordan tells the dispatcher in the call.

“And how many of your siblings are tied up?” the dispatcher replies.

“Two of my sisters. One of my brothers,” she answers.

“How are they tied up — with rope or with what?” the dispatcher asks.

“With chains. They are chained up to their bed.”

The call led police to the home, where the 13 siblings were freed and the parents, David and Louise Turpin, were taken into custody.

The parents pleaded guilty to a count of torture and a count of dependent abuse, in addition to other charges, earlier this year. They are set to be sentenced Friday.
