PRINCE Harry has topped a list of the most popular royals in a new survey, with the Queen coming in second place – but Meghan Markle did not even make the top five.

Harry is the nation’s favourite royal, according to the YouGov survey, with 77 percent of people polled saying they were a fan of the Duke of Sussex.

The Queen was close behind her grandson, with 74 percent of those who voted approving of the UK’s longest serving monarch.

Meghan – who joined the Royal Family in May when she married Harry – ranked in sixth place with just over half of those polled saying they liked her.

It comes after the Duchess of Sussex’s 16-day overseas tour with Harry, which saw the couple visit Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji in October.

Meghan announced her pregnancy as she landed in Sydney with Harry, five months after their Windsor wedding.

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, was rated Britain’s fourth favourite royal with a score of 64 percent, while her husband Prince William is in third place with 73 percent.

And Prince Philip, who retired from royal duties in 2017, remains popular with the public.

The Queen’s 97-year-old husband is the fifth most popular member of the Royal Family despite his rare public appearances these days.

Prince Charles – who celebrates his 70th birthday on Wednesday – is number seven on the list, while Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is at number 10.

Charles and Camilla were widely praised last week following a new BBC documentary to mark the Prince of Wales’s upcoming birthday.

The public have warmed to the couple, who wed in 2005, following hostilities over the breakdown of Charles’s marriage to Princess Diana.

On Sunday, Charles led the nation in marking the centenary of the First World War, laying a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf of the Queen during the National Service of Remembrance in a sign of the heir to the throne’s growing responsibility.

Princess Eugenie, who married Jack Brooksbank last month, is at number 14 on the list, with her sister Princess Beatrice one place ahead.

Prince Andrew is the UK’s least favourite royal, according to the poll.

The Duke of York was in last place at number 15 with just 22 percent of people saying they liked the royal.

Here is the full list of the UK’s most popular royals:
