As the Royal Wedding date draws closer, The Duchess of York is anticipating the moment she will watch Eugenie walk down the aisle to wed her fiancé, Mr Brooksbank this autumn.

Eugiene and Jack are incredibly compatible, according to Sarah, who revealed exclusive details about the couple’s relationship.

Even though their personalities are starkly different, Sarah said its their contrasting personalities that help balance them out.

The Duchess of York said Mr Brooksbank is “an amazing bringer of light and joy” while “Eugene is very controlled, she is so sorted”.

Speaking to the BBC, Sarah said: “Jack is a really sort of amazing bringer of light and he brings joy.

“I say to Jack, ‘Always just stay yourself,’ and I’d say that to anybody, just be yourself. What else can you do in life?”

She added: “Eugenie is very controlled, she is so sorted. She knows exactly what she wants.

“Jack and Eugenie are very contemporary, they are very inclusive, and they are all about love, and they want this wedding to be about that, to include everybody and to really absorb the love they have for each other with everybody else.”

The Duchess of York explained that even though Jack and Eugenie have contrasting personalities, they have the same vision for how they want their wedding to be, and also have similar contemporary styles.

The royal couple are set to marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, and have invited 1, 200 members of the public to the event, who will get the chance to see the wedding guests and Royal Family on the day.

Speaking about her family’s values, Sarah said: “We go with our hearts, we go with the family unity.

“We really believe in that, you can see that the York family unity, it’s all about seeing the light in life.”

The Duchess of York revealed she has not selected her wedding outfit yet due to her busy schedule helping to organise and plan her daughter’s nuptials.

Sarah also admitted that she will get emotional watching Eugenie walk down the aisle, saying she understands “why mothers cry at weddings now”.

She said: “I do understand why mothers cry at weddings now. All my life I thought, ‘Oh, what’s she crying for?’ It’s lovely, it’s a great day.”

Earlier this year, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor, in a riveting ceremony that captured the attention of the world.

It is expected the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend Eugenie and Jack’s wedding.
