Eugenie will marry her long-term boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on 12 October, the same venue where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot.

Meghan and Harry’s wedding saw a fairytale carriage procession, as the newly weds made their rounds around Windsor to greet royal fans.

However, Eugenie and Jack’s horse carriage will not be as elaborate as their royal counterparts.

The royal couple will have a much shorter ride than Meghan and Harry did, just half a mile long – equivalent to a ten minute walk.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s carriage procession route spanned 1.5 miles, three times longer than Jack and Eugenie’s.

After their wedding ceremony, Eugenie and Jack will travel by horse and carriage out of the castle grounds and turn right towards the High Street.

Then, they will continue for 200 metres, taking a left on to Park Street towards Long Walk before returning back to Windsor Castle through the Cambridge Gate.

Eugenie and Jack’s wedding is not expected to have as big of a public turn out as Meghan and Harry’s, which saw more than 100,000 royal fans flock to Windsor for the ceremony.

However, many members of the royal family will be in attendance for the October wedding.

Eugenie and Jack’s wedding will cost a total of £2 million, much less than the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ceremony, which amounted to £45 million.

The royal couple will be inviting 850 guests to their wedding, 250 more than Meghan and Harry’s earlier in May.

Their wedding venue, St George’s Chapel, can only hold 800 guests at a time so the royals will likely come up with a way to fit in extra seating arrangements.

A spokesman for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead said: “We are delighted that Princess Eugenie of York and Mr Jack Brooksbank have chosen our borough as the location for their wedding.”

Phillip Bicknell, cabinet member for highways, transport and Windsor, said: “As a royal town it is part of who we are to play host to national and international events just like the royal wedding.

“We know some of the preparations involved may cause short-term disruption and we thank residents and businesses for their patience.”

Princess Eugenie and Jack have invited 1,200 members of the public to the event, who will get the chance to see the wedding guests and Royal Family on the day.
