The cute three-year-old is pictured staring fondly at her 11-week-old brother in a family portrait with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, her brother Prince George, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Kensington Palace released four official photographs this evening taken by celebrity photographer Matt Holyoak.

The images include a shot of Kate alone with Prince Louis in the gardens of Clarence House, as well as a group shot of both sides of Kate and William’s family, including Meghan and James Matthews, Pippa’s husband.

All eyes are on Charlotte in the group images, with the little three year old pulling a distinguished pose with a hand on her knee in one image.

The photograph with just the royal members of Kate and William’s family sees Charlotte keeping a close eye on her little brother.

And the first official portrait of the Cambridges as a family of five shows Charlotte cheekily grinning and grabbing Louis’ Honiton lace gown as Kate raises a knowing eyebrow.

The private ceremony on Monday was held at Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace in London, using water from the River Jordan and it was the first time the Cambridges were seen together as a family of five.

Princess Charlotte wore a blue dress and shoes to match Prince George’s blue stripes on his white shirt and her father’s blue tie.

As she walked hand in hand with her father, Prince William, the young, sassy royal told reporters waiting outside before the Christening: “You’re not coming!”

Princess Charlotte was christened at St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Sandringham, close to their family’s Norfolk home at Anmer Hall, in July 2015.

Prince Louis appeared to be sleeping in his mother’s arms for the pictures having grown some fine hair since he was born.

Kate was dressed in a creamy Alexander McQueen dress with a v-neck and a Jane Taylor hat.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked completely elated and gazed at Louis who was dressed in a replica of the gown commissioned by Queen Victoria for the christening of her daughter, Victoria, in 1841.

The gown was the same one worn by Prince George and Princess Charlotte at their own ceremonies in 2013 and 2015.

Kate’s parents were also at the ceremony, her brother and sister, James and Pippa and Louis’ six godparents who are close friends or relatives of the Duke and Duchess.

The new fifth in line to the throne was baptised an Anglican with the full name of Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge in a private ceremony in the same chapel where Prince George was christening in October 2013.

The service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who wrote on Twitter: “I’m delighted and privileged to be christening Prince Louis today – a precious child made in God’s image, just as we all are. Please join me in praying for him and his family on this special day.”

Although the Queen and Prince Philip attended Princess Charlottes’s Christening, they did not attend the ceremony for Prince Louis.
