Meghan Markle made a secret trip to Canada last week to visit her close friend, Jessica Mulroney, the Royal Central reports.
She travelled on commercial airline Air Canada on Tuesday, August 21 to Toronto.
The former Suits actress was reportedly dressed in skinny black jeans, a black cashmere sweater, black ballerina flats and a black baseball cap pulled down over her face.
Royal commentator Omid Scobie broke the news on Good Morning America and in a series of tweets.
He said on Thursday: “Duchess Meghan quietly travelled to Toronto last Tuesday for a three-day stay at the family home of close friends Jessica and Ben Mulroney.”
A source told Royal Central she had one glass of champagne and watched the Book Club.
The source said: “She seemed very relaxed and sipped on peppermint tea during the journey.”
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly had two secret service men with her.
Scobie reported Meghan and Jessica “spent their days catching up, lounging poolside and playing with children Ivy, Brian and John.”
He tweeted: “There was also an evening out with friends.”
A source said the children “loved seeing their Auntie Meg.”
Mulroney’s children were involved in Meghan’s wedding back in May.
Ivy served as bridesmaid and Brian and John were page boys, carrying Meghan’s show-stopping five-metre long veil.
Kensington Palace reportedly sent a letter to Air Canada asking employees not to take any pictures of Meghan or contact her in any other way than serving her on the aircraft.
It was the duchess’ first solo trip abroad since marrying Prince Harry in May.
Meghan lived in Toronto for seven years while she filmed the USA TV series Suits.
She flew back to London on Friday, August 24 and returned to work on Wednesday where she attended a charity performance of Hamilton with Prince Harry in London.
The performance raised funds for Prince Harry’s charity Sentebale, which helps children affected by HIV/AIDS in parts of Africa.
Mulroney is said to have styled the outfit Meghan wore to the theatre – a Judith & Charles tuxedo dress.
Meghan’s trip to Toronto precedes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand in the autumn.
